Yoshi the builder finds a magic fan floating in the sea. Each time he opens it, the picture on the fan is different, providing him with inspiration. The villagers are confused and dismayed by Yoshi's new, impractical creations until his enormous bridge saves them all from a tsunami. With Yoshi's help they rebuild their ruined village. Fan-shaped, cut-out pages enhance the beautiful, richly-colored illustrations.
