"Little by little our park became a place for neighborhood troublemakers to hang out...Now nobody goes to the park anymore. Nobody, that is, except Grandpa and me." Angelo manages to convince his mostly Italian-American community to help clean up the park. But one morning they find the newly-painted benches covered with graffiti, the little garden trampled, and, worst of all, the bocce court ruined. Now the discouraged neighbors don't even want to save the park - until help arrives from an unexpected source.
