In a Chinese version of Little Red Riding Hood, three children are left alone when their mother goes to visit their grandmother. When the wolf tricks them into letting him into the house, the oldest child realizes that she'll have to use her wits to outsmart the him. Young's beautiful, dark-hued pastel drawings won the Caldecott Medal.
